Description
Move Upstate was chosen to design and build a modern educational facility that could serve as a hub for both academic learning and community engagement. The client’s vision was to create a space that fosters creativity, collaboration, and sustainability, providing students and educators with a versatile and inspiring environment.
The facility, which spans over 100,000 square feet, includes classrooms, laboratories, lecture halls, and communal areas. Our engineering team worked closely with educational consultants to understand the specific needs of students and faculty. The layout was designed with flexibility in mind, allowing rooms to be reconfigured for various teaching styles and group sizes.
One of the standout features of the facility is its use of natural light. Floor-to-ceiling windows were strategically placed to maximize sunlight, reducing the need for artificial lighting during daytime hours. In addition, we incorporated energy-efficient HVAC systems, low-flow plumbing, and rainwater harvesting systems to minimize the building’s environmental impact.
The facility also includes advanced digital infrastructure, with high-speed internet access and integrated technology in every classroom to support modern learning tools. Interactive whiteboards, digital projectors, and wireless connectivity are available throughout the building, ensuring that the space is equipped for 21st-century education.
Our team took extra care to ensure that the project adhered to both budgetary constraints and environmental sustainability goals. By using locally sourced materials and incorporating energy-saving technologies, we were able to deliver a facility that not only meets the client’s needs but also supports the institution’s long-term commitment to sustainability.
